Ketamine infusions for pain are mostly the same as the ketamine infusions for mood disorders, with a few important differences. Pain infusions are typically at a higher ketamine dosage over the course of 2-3 hours.

Pain infusions are usually well-tolerated, with the same possible side effects as the ketamine infusions provided for mood disorders (short-term mild-nausea and hallucinations).

At JWI, while we provide infusions for chronic pain, the evidence of the longevity of the pain relief as a result of the infusions is limited except for specific neuropathic pain conditions that you should discuss further with the physician.

Pain infusions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis for applicable patients.
